I took part in AAIAC 2026, the 2nd International Conference on the Advancements of Artificial Intelligence in the African Context, held on 22 and 23 July 2026 at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam.
The theme was Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive and Sustainable Digital Economy in Africa. The conference is organised by the AfriAI Lab, a collaboration between the University of Dodoma (UDOM) and the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), in partnership with IEEE. It brought together researchers, policymakers and practitioners to share AI work in health, agriculture, education, climate resilience and digital finance.
During the booth visits we presented our work to the guests at the exhibition, and it was good to meet leaders, researchers and innovators shaping the future of AI in Africa.

Every health worker deserves reliable energy. Every patient deserves uninterrupted care. Every community deserves a resilient health system. Thank you to the healthcare providers, development partners, investors and policymakers who stopped by to talk partnerships.
